My name is Kym Lamb, and I received my Spiritual Direction training through Cherry Hill Seminary.
I believe Spiritual Direction is the opportunity to seek healing, self-awareness, and spiritual growth. The spiritual Journey can be lonely and during tough times, hard to navigate. Having a companion to help see new connections, possibilities and deeper meaning makes that journey an easier one. The Spiritual Director is but a witness to the journey as the seeker finds the Holy in their life, as they define it.
I have been a seeker myself since a young age. I was raised Christian but currently practice an earth-based spirituality. My trainings include a Master’s degree in Sociology and over 175 hours of Domestic Violence training with 24 years of experience working in that field. I have taken numerous trainings in Trauma and currently co-chair a Trauma Informed Group at my place of employment. I have taken part in many trainings through my employer around Equity and Inclusion, focusing on the various marginalized groups. I am a member of the LGBTQ2S+ family, recently married my same-gendered partner of 17 years.

Life has exposed me to 14 years of recovery work with 12-step fellows. This work includes 10 years of sponsoring. I currently am sponsoring 2 folks for 6 and 4 years, both of which have expressed their appreciation as they can see their personal growth and healing.
Life has also exposed me to multiple instances of grief, and by working through my own grief, I have come to realize that I enjoy helping others through their grief. I believe the quote: God uses broken people to heal broken people.
